When more women are seen leading, more women begin to see themselves there too. Our Visibility Drives Change campaign brought that insight to one of the world’s biggest sporting stages.
Women make up just 26.7% of tech roles, while fewer than 1% of Formula 1 drivers are female. That’s why TeamViewer wanted to better understand what helps more women progress across the industry. Our Women in Sport Tech report found that 86% of women believe seeing women in senior roles is key to creating a more inclusive workplace and supporting career progression. Inspired by the report, Visibility Drives Change amplified female leadership, helping more women see what’s possible.
People around the world were invited to nominate women making an impact across sport, tech, business and beyond. Together, the photos of more than 200 women formed a bespoke TeamViewer F1 ACADEMYTM livery, transforming the car into a celebration of female leadership. Driven by F1 ACADEMY Wild Card driver Esmee Kosterman at Circuit Zandvoort during the Formula 1 Heineken Dutch Grand Prix, the campaign made representation impossible to miss while recognising the women already shaping the industry’s future.
Centre stage
The car’s race number 86 referenced the report finding that inspired the campaign, while every nomination told a bigger story. Each portrait formed part of a moving mosaic of female role models driving innovation and creating opportunities for others to follow. Together, they showed that representation doesn’t just recognise today’s leaders, it helps create tomorrow’s.
Taking visibility trackside
Race weekend brought together women from across sport and tech, alongside industry leaders, content creators and speakers, creating opportunities for shared experiences, new connections and fresh inspiration. Through conversations, keynote sessions and technology demonstrations, the campaign drove visibility far beyond the track.
